The Emerald Medical Group now offers psychology services to support local individuals, couples, children and families to overcome the stressful events in their lives. We’ve added two experienced psychologists to our team – Lindsay McDonald and Gracie McMurtrie – who offer tailored support to those who need it most.

If you can’t come in to us, our support comes to you
Both our psychologists offer telehealth sessions. This means that if you live in a remote area and are unable to come into the centre, our support can come to you at home via Skype, Facetime or telephone sessions.
Introducing Lindsay McDonald
Lindsay is an experienced clinical psychologist skilled in working with children and adolescents with complex mental health concerns and with adults and families as well.
Lindsay helps her patients using the latest, evidence-based techniques in a caring, non-judgmental and professional manner. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other interventions to collaborate with her clients to reach their goals.
Lindsay has completed additional training in perinatal psychology, couples therapy, OCD and weight management. Lindsay is also trained to undertake a variety of assessments, including psychological, developmental, fitness for duty, and drug and alcohol assessments.
Medicare and private health plan rebates are available for counselling sessions with Lindsay.

Introducing Gracie McMurtrie
Gracie is a provisional psychologist and is a child psychology specialist in training.
Gracie is experienced in working with children, adolescents and their families across a range of mental health issues, including as depression, anxiety, ODD, CD and PTSD. She offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), general counselling and a range of other therapeutic interventions to support her clients.
Gracie doesn’t offer Medicare rebates at this time (as she does not yet have a provider number), but her session fees are heavily reduced.
